The Tatva seminar , the teaching of breathing and the Tatvic classes, was above all a beautiful meeting together for us and for the participants. From the first moment there was a sense of calm, openness and a feeling of being allowed to slow down for a moment, breathe and just be in the here and now.
For us personally, it was a very nice reminder of why we do meetings like this - to see relaxed faces, hear laughter, share silence and the little "aha" moments that come quite naturally when a safe and friendly space is created.
According to yoga and Ayurveda, the tattvas are the fundamental energies that make up the whole world - and therefore each of us:
Prithvi (Earth) - stability, solidity, feeling of support
Apas / Jala (Water) - flow, emotion, gentleness
Tejas / Agni (Fire) - strength, transformation, inner spark
Vayu (Air) - movement, breath, lightness
Akasha (Ether / Space) - space, consciousness, connection
At the seminar we talked about tatvas with healer Bohuslav Vetrosky, simply and humanly - not as a complicated theory, but as something we can feel every day. In breath, moods, fatigue and joy. That is why they are sometimes called the breath of God - the subtle energy that constantly surrounds and connects us.
We devoted a large part of the meeting to breath and pranayama. Together we explored how simple conscious breathing can calm the mind, relax the body and help us become more attuned to ourselves.
It wasn't about performance or "rightness". It was just about perception. It was about giving ourselves some time and space. The practical breathing demonstrations and gentle energy work were a pleasant surprise for many participants - it was often commented that they felt lighter, calmer and more at home within themselves.
We also touched on the tatvic hours, the natural rhythms of the day when the different tatvas take turns. We talked about how these cycles can affect our energy, focus or need for rest.
It wasn't about any hard and fast rules, but rather a gentle inspiration on how to tune in more to ourselves and what we need during the day.
What we enjoyed the most was the atmosphere of the whole meeting. There was a sense of relaxation, trust and lightness. There was space for questions, sharing, laughter and silence. No one had to prove anything, everyone could take away exactly what they came with.
The workshop was open to those who were encountering tatvas and energy work for the first time, as well as those who already had experience with yoga, spirituality or Ayurveda.
The gathering showed us once again that even in today's fast-paced times, there is tremendous value in stopping for a moment, taking a breath and being in the present moment together.
We are grateful to everyone who shared this time with us. It was a very nourishing, joyful and human encounter for us - and we are already looking forward to more times together.
