It's unexpected, but even such an exotic-sounding mushroom name - Reishi - can be collected here in Europe.
Although mushrooms are mostly native to Asia, they are found in Europe and even in the Czech Republic. This rare medicinal mushroom, Ganoderma Lucidum, grows only on dead hardwood trees and is a wood-boring fungus. Most of you know it as Reishi.
There are more than sixty species of Reishi.
The most potent species of this mushroom grows in Asia, especially in China, and was previously reserved only for the imperial family for its healing abilities. Whoever found it was obliged to immediately hand it over to the imperial court. If anyone failed to do so and it was found out, he was punished with a capital punishment.
Although there are nowadays supermodern laboratories, they have not been able to isolate all the active substances from this fungus. And what they find is completely beyond the understanding of scientists and doctors. More than 250 substances have been found so far, and clinical trials have been conducted on most of them.
The most important role, due to the medicinal properties of this mushroom, is played by beta-glucans (polysaccharides), triterpenes, adenosine and organic germanium.
This mushroom is very important in helping to regenerate and stimulate the immune system. It slows down aging, destroys cancer cells.
It can significantly intervene in the treatment of the following diseases: rheumatoid arthritis and rheumatism, various types of cancer such as colon, prostate, breast, lung, ovarian, cervical, as well as Leukemia and it helps people suffering from Diabetes.

This is only a part of the diseases where it can be used successfully, in combination with other mushrooms and herbs. It also depends on the processing and correct dosage of this mushroom. Nowadays, due to the high demand, it is grown in large volumes and commercially in grow rooms.
